If you increase the price by 10,000 yuan, you will be given priority to pick up the car, but you can't get a full refund? Xiaomi's new car hasn't been released yet, but the old routine has appeared again. On the evening of July 30, Xiaomi Motors will hold a technical conference for the Pengcheng series. As of press time, the price of this series of models has not been announced, and official pre-sale channels have not been opened. However, Blue Whale reporters found that a large number of "priority pick-up quota" and "internal F code" reselling information for Xiaomi Pengcheng have appeared on second-hand trading platforms, with price tags as high as 10,000 yuan. Most sellers claim to be Xiaomi insiders or authorized dealers, claiming to be able to lock in the first batch of resources.

Will you give priority to Xiaomi Pengcheng with a price increase of 10,000 yuan?

The seller claims to be a Xiaomi insider and cannot get a full refund

Blue Whale reporters entered keyword searches such as "Xiaomi Pengcheng" on the second-hand platform and found that there were dozens of related resale information, with quotations ranging from a few thousand to ten thousand yuan. Some sellers' first batch of car pickup services were priced as high as 15,000 yuan.

Relevant product detail pages generally use "Xiaomi Pengcheng Automobile F code pre-sale qualifications", "the first batch of cars will be directly locked" and "the first batch of internal quotas are being subscribed" as the core promotional words, and deliberately use the labels of "internal channels" and "scarce quotas" to create a sense of scarcity and attract consumers who are eager to lock in the first batch of vehicles.

The reporter contacted one of the sellers as an intended car buyer. The seller claimed to be an internal staff member of Xiaomi Auto and had an exclusive internal nomination quota. It said that after the buyer takes a photo of the product and provides his personal mobile phone number, he can directly complete the quota binding in the internal system, and can 100% lock in the first batch of car pick-up qualifications without participating in the public queue of ordinary users.

In order to win the reporter's trust, the seller also took the initiative to send an ID photo to prove his identity, and specifically emphasized that "sales in offline stores simply do not dare to do this kind of thing. Only our internal staff have operating authority." In an attempt to strengthen the "speciality" and credibility of his own channel.

Another seller broke down the so-called "internal F-code" operation process to reporters in detail. When the official opening time comes, he will send an exclusive mini program entrance to buyers. Buyers can select vehicle configurations and submit personal information in the mini program, and the order will be directly connected to the official system for production scheduling.

"I have been working with Xiaomi for three years, and the channel has always been very stable. I am 100% sure that I can pick up the car without getting a full refund." The seller repeatedly emphasized the reliability of his channel.

In order to further gain trust, the seller also proposed to sign a contract with the buyer and write the car pickup period and refund rules into the terms.

Giving priority to picking up a car is an old trick of scalpers speculating on cars.

There are multiple consumption risks hidden behind it

Blue Whale reporters found that the channels on the Internet that claim to be able to prioritize Xiaomi Pengcheng's car pick-up qualifications are mainly divided into two categories, and the identity rhetoric of the two is different.

One type of seller claims to be an insider of Xiaomi Auto, and holds the F code issued by the official government, and can lock the first batch of vehicle delivery places through internal channels.

The other group calls themselves "authorized dealers" and claims that Xiaomi officials will allocate a small number of exclusive available car quotas to cooperative stores. Although the quota is scarce, orders can be locked in advance through store channels and there is no need to participate in the official unified ordering queue.

In response to the above-mentioned "internal F code" and "dealers are given priority to pick up the car", Blue Whale reporter verified with Xiaomi Auto's offline store sales staff, and the other party made it clear: "This is all fake. There is no F code now. All users place orders through the official APP. The queuing rules are completely unified. Don't believe in the promise that paying scalpers will give you priority to pick up the car."

In fact, rumors about F code priority purchase were officially refuted two years ago. In March 2024, it was reported that Xiaomi Motors will issue "F codes" to provide the right of first refusal, 100 of which will be sent by Lei Jun himself. In this regard, Lei Jun said that Xiaomi SU7 has not opened a blind ordering channel, and any cooperation channel or individual is prohibited from conducting blind ordering, collecting deposits/deposits, etc.

In addition to the "internal F code priority to pick up the car" method, another type of cashback scheme has appeared on the market recently. The seller claims that it can be operated through internal orders in the store, and thousands of yuan in cash can be returned after placing the order, and the overall car purchase price is lower than the official price.

Blue Whale reporters verified that this gameplay is highly similar to the "waste order activation" model that appeared when Xiaomi YU7 was launched. That is, using the quota of old users to unsubscribe orders, allowing new buyers to use their original accounts to place orders, and then use the difference in deposit refunds to make cash back and make profits.

In fact, similar situations will happen before every Xiaomi model is launched. The so-called "internal F code" and "cash rebate for in-dealer purchases" have no official basis. They are old tricks used by scalpers to capitalize on the popularity of new cars. There are multiple consumption risks hidden behind such transactions.

Xiaomi Pengcheng is the second series of products of Xiaomi Motors. It focuses on large-space extended-range SUVs for families. The N70 is a five-seat model and the N90 is a full-size seven-seat flagship model.

Today, Xiaomi Pengcheng show cars have arrived in stores one after another, covering 499 stores in 146 cities across the country. Although the launch event only started in the evening,But in fact, there are already vehicles entering the store, Blue Whale reporters visited the store and learned that the front row of the car is equipped with a large-sized floating central control screen, and there is also a small-sized instrument screen in front of the main driving steering wheel. In addition, the front seats can be rotated backwards, some exhibition cars are equipped with tables and tea sets, and the interior of the car is arranged into a private meeting space.

At present, Xiaomi Auto’s official account has also started live broadcasts in offline stores to continue to warm up for the press conference. However, the reporter learned that the evening of the 30th was just a technical conference, and there is a high probability that the Dading channel will not be opened.
