The Cybertruck, an electric pickup truck launched by Tesla in November 2019, is scheduled to be delivered later this year. It has been seen in many places in the United States recently and has also appeared in Tesla's 50,000th supercharger newly installed. Previous reports from foreign media showed that the Cybertruck, an electric pickup truck scheduled to be delivered later this year, began production at Tesla's Gigafactory in Austin, Texas, in July. At the end of last month, it was reported that 100 units had been produced.
Judging from the latest reports from foreign media, Tesla's electric pickup truck Cybertruck, which has started production in July, seems to be preparing for mass production, and more production equipment has arrived at the Texas Gigafactory.
Foreign media discovered in an aerial video posted on social media on Monday local time that production equipment for the electric pickup truck Cybertruck arrived at the Texas Gigafactory. In the aerial video, a semi-trailer truck loaded with industrial robots appeared in the factory area, and a crane was unloading the goods.
On the outer packaging of the two industrial robots being unloaded by the crane, there is a label with the word "CTZoneX". The aerial photographer believed that this was a hint that they were equipment from the Cybertruck production line, indicating the installation area.
In addition, five Cybertrucks appeared in the aerial video, three of which were in the crash test area. In previous aerial photography, two Cybertrucks were parked near the crash laboratory of the Texas Gigafactory. At that time, there was news that Tesla may be conducting crash tests on its own to obtain more data on the performance of this electric car in crash tests, just like the tests conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Since the automobile production line requires a large amount of equipment, it will take a certain amount of time to build a complete production line. It has been some time since the equipment for the electric pickup production line at Tesla's Texas Super Factory began to be installed. In the second quarter financial report released on July 19, they disclosed that they were installing related production equipment.
