According to a Reuters report on January 7, local time, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has adopted the US Federal Aviation Administration’s directive on the Boeing 737 MAX9 passenger aircraft. The European Union Aviation Safety Agency also pointed out that no EU member state airlines currently "operate aircraft with the affected configuration."
On the 6th, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration ordered the temporary grounding of Boeing 737 MAX9 passenger aircraft operated by American Airlines or within the United States to conduct safety inspections of the aircraft. This emergency airworthiness directive will affect approximately 171 aircraft.
The British Civil Aviation Authority also announced that there are currently no Boeing 737 Max 9 aircraft registered in the UK, but aircraft should be inspected before entering British airspace.
An Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX9 passenger plane suffered an accident in mid-air shortly after taking off from Portland, USA on the 5th, and made an emergency landing without causing any casualties.
