Another netizen suspected of taking the flight posted online that at 12:44 that day, his Sichuan Airlines flight 3U8424 suddenly experienced an engine failure after taking off from Changchun Longjia International Airport.

Just after taking off and leaving the ground, I heard about 10 "bang bang" noises coming from the right engine, and there was a suspected fire.Subsequently, the plane circled in the air for 2 hours before returning to Changchun Longjia International Airport.

Sichuan Airlines recently responded to the media and stated that the flight returned due to a malfunction alarm message and had not been notified of any injuries to the passengers.
