It is reported that 59 innovative drugs have been approved for marketing since this year, 13 of which are drugs with new mechanisms and new targets, and the original innovation capabilities have been steadily improved. From January to August this year, there were 113 biomedical business development (BD transactions) nationwide, with a total amount of US$119.997 billion. The number of Shanghai biopharmaceutical BD transactions was 37, accounting for 33% of the country's total, ranking first in the country. The scale of Shanghai's biopharmaceutical industry continues to grow, reaching 500.566 billion yuan in the first half of 2025.
