[Developing data cooperation for ASEAN, the World Data Organization establishes a new branch] On September 18, we learned from the National Data Administration that the China-ASEAN Data Cooperation Professional Committee of the World Data Organization was established in Nanning, Guangxi on September 17. The World Data Organization is the world's first professional international organization aimed at promoting data development and governance practices. It is headquartered in Beijing. Its newly established China-ASEAN Data Cooperation Professional Committee focuses on cross-border data flow, inclusive intelligent computing power, co-construction of rules and standards, member ecological construction, and industry cluster development for ASEAN. It is committed to bridging the data gap, releasing data value, and prospering the development of the digital economy. The National Data Administration stated that it will actively participate in global data governance, support the World Data Organization in giving full play to the professional advantages of its members in global regions and industries, and pragmatically promote international cooperation in vertical data fields.
