[Ten departments: There is no mandatory scrappage period for small and micro non-operating self-propelled RVs] On September 18, the State Council forwarded a notice from ten departments including the Ministry of Culture and Tourism on "Several Measures to Promote RV Consumption" to optimize the management of RV registration, scrapping and driver training and examinations. Study and revise the "Road Traffic Management Motor Vehicle Types" standard and improve the requirements for RV registration and management. Optimize and adjust the scrappage period of RVs. The service life of small and micro non-operating self-propelled RVs shall be based on the service life of small and micro non-operating passenger vehicles. There will be no mandatory scrapping period. The service life of leasing small and micro self-propelled RVs will be relaxed from 15 years to 25 years. The service life of travel trailers will be relaxed from 15 years to 20 years.
