[Beijing Benz and Mercedes-Benz recall some domestically produced and imported cars] November 6th, Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. and Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. recently filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Management of Recalls of Defective Automobile Products" and the "Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Management of Recalls of Defective Automobile Products". 1. Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. Recall number S2026M0128V: Starting from now, some domestic CLA pure electric vehicles produced between November 25, 2025 and December 3, 2025, a total of 2 vehicles, will be recalled. For the vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to manufacturing problems, the electrical components on the circuit board of the rear electric drive module power electronic device are damaged. A short circuit may occur in the vehicle's high-voltage system, causing power transmission to be interrupted, increasing the risk of vehicle collision, and posing safety risks. Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace the rear electric drive modules for free for vehicles within the recall scope through authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers to eliminate safety hazards. 2. Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd., Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. Recall number S2026M0129V: Starting from February 19, 2027, some domestic A-class, GLA and GLB cars produced between February 8, 2018 and June 1, 2020 will be recalled, a total of 129,819 vehicles. Recall number S2026M0130V: Starting from February 19, 2027, a total of 50,458 imported A-class, B-class, C-class, CLA, CLE, GLA, GLB and GLC cars produced between April 21, 2018 and February 25, 2026 will be recalled. Some vehicles within the scope of this recall have poor moisture-proof performance in the potting material of the driver's side door lock microswitch. Over time, the micro switch may malfunction due to moisture and corrosion, making it unable to recognize that the door is open. Micro switch failure does not affect the door locking function, but the parking brake and automatic parking functions linked to the opening of the driver's side door may not be activated normally and automatically, and the vehicle may move unexpectedly, increasing the risk of collision and posing safety risks. Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. and Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. will replace the driver's door lock for vehicles within the recall scope for free through Mercedes-Benz authorized dealers to eliminate safety hazards.
