[Subaru recalls 196,494 imported cars] November 6th, Subaru Automobile (China) Co., Ltd. recently filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Recall Management of Defective Automobile Products" and the "Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Recall Management of Defective Automobile Products". Recall number S2026M0135I: Starting from December 21, 2026, some imported Forester, Legacy, Outback, XV, and BRZ series cars produced between August 23, 2011 and August 25, 2016 will be recalled, a total of 196,494 vehicles. This recall was carried out after the State Administration for Market Regulation launched a defect investigation. Subaru Automobile (China) Co., Ltd. will inspect the steering spiral cable for free for vehicles within the scope of the recall. If the vehicle is equipped with improved parts, it will be replaced with an improved steering spiral cable free of charge to eliminate safety hazards.
