[Turkey says it may provide help to Saudi Arabia] September 20th, Turkish Foreign Minister Fedan said on September 19th that Turkey is ready to provide help in accordance with the Mecca Mutual Defense Agreement in response to the recent attacks by Saudi Arabia by the Houthi armed forces in Yemen. Fedan said that the signatories to the agreement are paying attention to the attacks on Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia's military needs may focus on some technical issues, and Türkiye will be able to meet these needs. Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Pakistan signed the Mecca Mutual Defense Agreement on August 7. According to a joint statement issued by the three parties on the same day, the agreement aims to strengthen joint deterrence against any acts of aggression.
