Galaxy Aerospace told a reporter from Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily that the satellite was jointly developed by Galaxy Aerospace, Pengcheng Laboratory, and Southern University of Science and Technology, with Pengcheng Laboratory as the end user unit. The satellite is equipped with 5G NTN communication payload, digital retina on-orbit computing load and satellite-ground laser communication load based on 3GPP standards. It will carry out on-orbit time-sharing verification around 5G-NTN satellite-ground communication, satellite-borne AI intelligent computing power and 100Gbps high-speed satellite-ground laser communication. It will be applied to remote sensing image intelligent analysis and calculation, satellite-ground laser communication and other fields, and will lay a solid technical foundation for the subsequent construction of 6G communication network system.
