[China’s first cross-sea municipal railway opens to traffic] On September 22, China’s first cross-sea municipal railway, the Ningbo to Xiangshan Municipal Railway (Ningxiang Line), opened to traffic. The Ningxiang Line starts from Xiaoyangjiang Station in Yinzhou District, Ningbo City in the north and ends at Damuwan Station in Xiangshan County in the south. It has a total length of 61.45 kilometers and a total of 10 stations. It uses 4 urban A-type trains and has a maximum operating speed of 160 kilometers per hour. After the line is put into operation, the history of Xiangshan Peninsula without rail transit has ended. The train speeds across the Xiangshan Port Cross-Sea Bridge, opening up a fast commuter channel between Ningbo's central city and the Xiangshan Peninsula, marking the official entry of the two places into a half-hour traffic circle and injecting new momentum into the coordinated development of the southern Ningbo metropolitan area.
