[Qatar Energy leases LNG ship to load at Ras Laffan Port as early as late September] On September 22, informed ship brokers stated that Qatar Energy LNG Marketing Department has leased a transport ship that can load at the Ras Laffan Port facility in the Persian Gulf as early as late September. The vessel will be leased to the unit of Qatar Energy for several months. Qatar Energy did not respond to a request for comment. This move may mean that Qatar Energy is preparing to increase exports from Ras Laffan Port. Affected by the disturbances in the Strait of Hormuz, the port has been operating at low capacity.
