[The foreign ministers of the eight countries called on Israel to stop its aggression against Gaza] On the 22nd, the foreign ministers of Egypt, Qatar, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia held talks during the general debate of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. The eight foreign ministers expressed deep concern about the humanitarian disaster in the Gaza Strip and called on Israel to immediately fulfill its obligations under the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, including ensuring safe and unimpeded access of humanitarian aid and supplies to Gaza, and to cease all violations. They opposed any act of expelling or forcing the Palestinian people to leave their homes, and called for measures to prevent the expansion of Israeli settlements and hold settlers accountable for violence. The eight foreign ministers called for the implementation of the "two-state solution" to pave the way for the Palestinian people to exercise their right to self-determination and establish an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders and with East Jerusalem as its capital.
