[The Second China-New Zealand New Energy Vehicle Dialogue was held in Beijing] September 23rd. On September 22, Wang Weiming, Chief Engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Chris Nice, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Cities, Environment, Regions and Transport of New Zealand, co-chaired the second China-New Zealand New Energy Vehicle Dialogue in Beijing. Wang Weiming said that establishing a new energy vehicle dialogue mechanism is a pragmatic measure to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of China and New Zealand. The two sides jointly held the first China-Singapore New Energy Vehicle Dialogue in Wellington, New Zealand, in December last year, laying an important foundation for industrial cooperation between the two countries. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is willing to continue to strengthen dialogue and exchanges in the field of new energy vehicles with the New Zealand Ministry of Cities, Environment, Regions and Transport. Chris Nice said that the New Energy Vehicle Dialogue Mechanism has established an important platform for New Energy Vehicles policy exchanges between New Zealand and China. New Zealand is willing to continue cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China under this mechanism.
