[The number of births in South Korea in July exceeded 24,000, a new high for the same month since 2019] September 23rd, the "July Population Trend" data released by the South Korean National Data Office on September 23 showed that the number of births in July this year was 24,275, a year-on-year increase of 11.1%, a new high for the same month since 2019. The cumulative number of births in South Korea in the first seven months of this year exceeded 170,000, reaching 170,079, a year-on-year increase of 14.7%, a record high for the same period in previous years. The total fertility rate in July was 0.89, a year-on-year increase of 0.08.
