[Meta launches camera-less version of smart glasses and introduces Muse assistant function] September 24th, Meta Platforms is expanding its smart glasses product line, launching a camera-less version, and introducing Muse assistant function into its smart glasses products. At its annual Connect conference on Wednesday, the company unveiled its first camera-less Ray-Ban Meta Audio smart glasses. At the same time, Meta also launched the third generation of Ray-Ban Meta glasses equipped with cameras, as well as new lower-priced Meta brand smart glasses. The audio-focused glasses provide an opportunity for Meta to re-explore a product category that has been controversial over privacy issues. The Meta camera-less glasses start at $349 and are scheduled to begin shipping on October 3. The third-generation model also comes with a new "action button" that users can customize to perform specific tasks, such as launching the Muse voice assistant.
