[TSMC’s 2nm chip monthly production capacity may reach 120,000 pieces by the end of the year] On September 28, it was reported that sources said that as major customers such as Apple, Nvidia, AMD, Qualcomm and MediaTek increased their orders by 10% to 20%, TSMC is accelerating the expansion of its 2nm production capacity. According to reports, TSMC’s monthly production capacity of 2nm chips may reach 120,000 pieces by the end of the year, higher than the previous market estimate of 90,000 to 100,000 pieces. The accelerated pace of production capacity expansion will enable the production capacity level originally scheduled to be reached in 2027 to be achieved ahead of schedule.
