[TSMC-affiliated company plans to build a second Singapore chip factory] On September 28, in order to meet growing demand, VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (VSMC), a joint venture between TSMC-affiliated company World Advanced and the Dutch company NXP Semiconductors, is considering building a second Singapore chip factory. World Advanced and VSMC Chairman Fang Lue said in an interview that the new factory can produce more advanced chips than the first factory in Singapore.
