[Iran’s deputy foreign minister said there is no rush to reopen the Strait of Hormuz] August 30. On August 29, local time, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Gari Babadi said that Iran has reached an understanding with Oman on the arrangements for passage through the Strait of Hormuz, but this understanding will not automatically enter the implementation stage. Garibabadi said that unless the United States fulfills its obligations, the understanding reached between Iran and Oman on the Strait of Hormuz will not enter the implementation stage and Iran is in no rush to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
