[Iranian officials deny reports that "Iran is showing flexibility on the nuclear issue"] September 29th, an Iranian official with knowledge of the matter reportedly said that a series of reports by some media about Iran showing flexibility on its nuclear stance are untrue. The official said the U.S. government was "stuck" in the Strait of Hormuz and was trying to divert attention from the dilemma by hyping up the nuclear issue. The official added that Iran's position on the nuclear issue remained unchanged and stressed that there were no discussions on the matter.
