[Iranian media said warning shots were fired from Qeshm Island] September 29th, it was reported that explosions were heard from Iran’s Qeshm Island late at night on September 28, local time. Iran's Tasnim News Agency later reported, citing local sources on Qeshm Island, that no attacks or explosions were reported on Qeshm Island. These sounds are usually caused by Iran firing warning shots at ships that violate regulations in the Strait of Hormuz. Qeshm Island is located in Hormozgan Province in southern Iran, on the north side of the Strait of Hormuz, close to the coast of Iran. After the United States and Israel launched military strikes against Iran, Qeshm Island has been hit by air strikes many times. (CCTV International News)
