[China's three international science and technology innovation centers account for 58.8% of the country's R&D funding] September 29th, at the press conference on the theme of "Starting the 15th Five-Year Plan" held by the State Council Information Office today (29th), Minister of Science and Technology Yin Hejun introduced that the Ministry of Science and Technology Together with relevant departments, we will actively support the three international science and technology innovation centers in Beijing (Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei), Shanghai (Yangtze River Delta), and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to leverage their advantages in gathering scientific and technological resources, organize scientific research, and support them in carrying out scientific and financial innovations and facilitating the customs clearance of scientific research materials and other policies. All localities have taken active actions to establish cross-provincial and municipal working mechanisms, strengthen policy planning and other cohesion, and deploy and implement major projects in an integrated manner. The R&D funding of the three international science and technology innovation centers accounts for 58.8% of the country's total, and the number of PCT international patent applications accounts for 81.1% of the country's total. It has powerful radiation to drive the development of scientific and technological innovation in surrounding provinces, cities and the country.
