[Foreign Exchange Bureau: China’s balance of payments exports of goods and services in August were US$424.3 billion, with a surplus of US$94.4 billion] On September 29, the Foreign Exchange Administration released data. In August 2026, China’s balance of payments imports and exports of goods and services trade were 5,117.9 billion yuan. Among them, exports of goods and services were 2,879.3 billion yuan, imports were 2,238.6 billion yuan, and the surplus was 640.7 billion yuan. Looking at the main items of service trade, the import and export scale of travel services was 173.1 billion yuan, the import and export scale of transportation services was 153.2 billion yuan, the import and export scale of other commercial services was 143.7 billion yuan, and the import and export scale of telecommunications, computer and information services was 69.3 billion yuan. In U.S. dollars, in August 2026, China's balance of payments exports of goods and services were US$424.3 billion, imports were US$329.9 billion, and the trade surplus was US$94.4 billion.
