[China Automobile Dealers Association: Auto Dealer Inventory Warning Index in September was 63.2%] On September 30, the latest "Auto Dealer Inventory Warning Index Survey" VIA released by the China Automobile Dealers Association showed that the auto dealer inventory early warning index in September 2026 was 63.2%, a year-on-year increase of 8.7 percentage points and a month-on-month increase of 0.9 percentage points. The inventory warning index was above the boom and bust line. Survey data shows that 54.2% of dealers believe that the peak season effect of this year's "Golden September and Silver Ten" is significantly weaker than in previous years, 33.7% believe that the peak season effect has basically disappeared, and only 3.6% believe that the performance is better than previous years. Although manufacturers intensively launched new cars and dealers stepped up promotions in September, they still failed to effectively stimulate terminal sales growth. The traditional peak season has a very weak effect on consumer demand. Based on comprehensive judgment, it is estimated that the terminal retail sales of passenger cars in September will be around 1.65 million units.
