[Ministry of Natural Resources: Comprehensive investigation of risks and hazards in the Jilong debris flow disaster area] On August 30, it was learned from the Ministry of Natural Resources that the Ministry of Natural Resources has currently launched a comprehensive investigation of risks and hazards in the Jilong debris flow disaster area, and has initially identified 8 high-risk geological disaster points. The Ministry of Natural Resources stated that it is currently continuing to mobilize professional and technical forces, focusing on the ice avalanche source area, barrier lake, along the channel and around the basin, to carry out emergency mapping and risk hazard investigation of the disaster impact area by region, and to strengthen geological disaster inspections and inspections in key areas such as emergency rescue channels, surrounding villages and resettlement sites. Combining remote sensing interpretation and on-site surveys, experts from the front and rear have interpreted a total of more than 60 geological disaster hazard points in the disaster-affected area, and initially determined 8 high-risk points. The Ministry of Natural Resources recommends that drone aerial surveys combined with manual inspections be used for monitoring during the search and rescue period, and requires further strengthening risk monitoring of debris flow source areas, and continuing to carry out risk analysis, monitoring and early warning for potential collapse and landslide hazards caused by scraping of trenches along the debris flow path.
