[Jingyu Medical publishes research data on the world's first approved brain-computer interface dual-target drug addiction treatment DBS system at ISAM] October 2nd, at the 28th International Society of Addiction Medicine (ISAM) Global Conference being held recently, Ning Yihua, Chairman of Jingyu Medical, was one of the recipients. Invited representatives of Chinese companies published the long-term follow-up data of the company's brain-computer interface dual-target drug addiction treatment DBS system Neurestora®: the 6-month compliance rate (non-relapse rate) reached 80%, and the 7-year long-term stable abstinence rate reached 69%. The first batch of patients have been followed for more than 10 years. The product also demonstrates sustained and long-lasting neuroplastic remodeling - 1.5 to 2 years after DBS implantation, most patients can stop stimulation, remove the DBS device from the body, maintain long-term abstinence, and return to normal life. Ning Yihua said long-term follow-up has proven the product’s therapeutic potential for patients with severe addiction.
Note: Jingyu Medical is an enterprise in the field of brain-computer interfaces for the treatment of addiction and mental diseases. In December 2025, the company's Neurestora® was approved by the China Food and Drug Administration for marketing. It is used for relapse prevention and auxiliary treatment of patients with refractory moderate to severe opioid addiction, becoming the world's first brain-computer interface dual-target DBS system approved for the treatment of drug addiction.
