[Bulgarian Prime Minister presided over a meeting to deal with drone attacks on ships in the Black Sea] October 6th, Bulgarian Prime Minister Radev hosted a meeting on October 6, local time, to deal with the drone attacks on two ships in Bulgaria’s exclusive economic zone in the Black Sea. Radev said that around 3 a.m. that day, two merchant ships were attacked by drones, and both ships were damaged. Radev said that this was an absolutely unacceptable attack within Bulgaria’s exclusive economic zone and a serious violation of international law and the law of the sea. He emphasized that the current situation is making navigation in the Black Sea extremely difficult. According to Bulgarian news, a cargo ship that was attacked has sunk and the whereabouts of the crew are unknown. Eighteen crew members on another cargo ship were rescued and some were injured. Currently, the Bulgarian side is conducting search and rescue operations in the sea area where the incident occurred. (CCTV News)
