[A merchant ship was attacked in the Strait of Hormuz and 12 people were injured] On October 6, local time, the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement condemning the attack on a Panamanian-flagged merchant ship in the waters near Oman that day. The statement pointed out that the merchant ship was attacked while passing through the Strait of Hormuz. There are 19 crew members on board, 17 of whom are Indian citizens. A total of 12 crew members were injured in the attack, including 11 Indian crew members.
