[Iranian President Says It’s Pointless to Negotiate with an “Enemy” Who Continuously Breaks His Commitments] October 6th, Iranian President Pezeshizyan said on the 5th that it is “meaningless” to negotiate with an “enemy” who frequently applies pressure and sanctions and constantly reneges on his commitments. According to a statement issued by the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi said when meeting with Mirzoyan on the 5th that Iran will "firmly" defend its national interests and security, but has never hesitated to use diplomatic means to prevent the escalation of the situation.
