[Researchers have discovered that specific bacteria have the function of regulating cholesterol metabolism] October 7th, a type of bacteria living in the human intestine has been confirmed to spontaneously produce fatty acids that have the function of regulating cholesterol metabolism, which is expected to provide a new way to prevent and treat diseases such as hyperlipidemia and atherosclerosis. This is learned from Shenzhen Bay Laboratory. This research was completed in collaboration between Shenzhen Bay Laboratory and Sun Yat-sen University's Sun Yat-sen School of Medicine.
