It is reported that the outbreak of artificial intelligence has led to a surge in demand for high-speed optical modules, and indium phosphide substrates have also become a necessity for the industry. Currently, global indium ore grades continue to decline and mining costs continue to rise. Data shows that the price of indium has climbed from about 2,500 yuan/kg in 2023 to about 5,300 yuan/kg in August 2026, nearly doubling in three years.
