[6.09 million pieces of personal information of East Japan Railway Co. may have been leaked] On October 9, East Japan Railway Co. (JR East) announced that a total of about 6.09 million pieces of personal information containing email addresses and other content in the group's credit card "Viewcard" and other services may have been leaked. The reason is that the cloud service provided by SoftBank subsidiary IDC Frontier (Tokyo) for enterprises was illegally accessed. JR East said its name, address and bank card number had not been disclosed.
