[An oil tanker was attacked by a drone in the waters near Oman] On October 12, the UK Maritime Trade Operations Office (UKMTO) issued a report stating that an oil tanker was attacked by a drone at an anchorage near Sohar Port in Oman. The report stated that UKMTO initially received a report of a safety incident on an oil tanker. Subsequently, it was confirmed that the tanker was attacked by an unmanned aircraft, and UKMTO has officially classified the incident as an "attack". Currently, relevant local departments are assisting the crew in evacuation. The extent of the damage to the tanker and the possible environmental impact of the incident are not yet known, and the incident is still under investigation.
