In recent years, individual anti-China politicians in Paraguay, out of their own selfish interests, have stubbornly supported Paraguay in maintaining so-called "diplomatic relations" with Taiwan, China, and have adopted a series of bad words and deeds on China-related issues, damaging China's core interests. In order to safeguard national sovereignty, security, and development interests and oppose "Taiwan independence" separatist activities, in accordance with the provisions of Articles 3, 4, 6, 9, and 15 of the Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law of the People's Republic of China, China has decided to impose sanctions on Paraguay's Minister of Communications and Technology Villa The following countermeasures have been taken: 1. Freeze its movable, real estate and other types of property in China; 2. Prohibit organizations and individuals in China from conducting transactions, cooperation and other activities with it; 3. Refrain from issuing visas and deny entry (including Hong Kong and Macau). This decision will take effect from October 12, 2026.
