[The third round and seventh batch of central ecological and environmental protection inspections were launched] On October 12, with the approval of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, the third round and seventh batch of central ecological and environmental protection inspections were fully launched.
This time, the two central ecological and environmental protection routine inspection teams will carry out routine inspections of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs respectively, and will be stationed for one month. At the same time, special inspections on ecological and environmental protection of karst cave, tiankeng and valley pollution issues were carried out in seven provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities including Hubei, Hunan, Guangxi, Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou, and Yunnan, and the inspection period will last about two weeks. During the period of stationing, the two routine inspection teams set up contact numbers and postal mailboxes respectively to accept letters, phone calls and reports on ecological and environmental protection of the inspected objects.
At the same time, the Office of the Central Leading Group for Ecological and Environmental Protection Inspection specifically sent a letter to the above-mentioned persons being inspected, prohibiting "one size fits all", simple and crude actions such as emergency shutdowns of operations and production in response to inspections, and perfunctory response practices such as "shut down altogether" and "stop first and then talk". For those who adopt a "one-size-fits-all" approach to passively respond to inspections, the inspection team will deal with them seriously and investigate and deal with each case they find.
