[Mogul Morgan: The U.S. AI power supply gap may reach 77GW, which is expected to give rise to a $240 billion market] On October 12, Morgan Stanley predicted that the new power demand for U.S. data centers will reach 160 GW from 2026 to 2029. After taking into account the existing power grid capacity and purchased power generation equipment, there will still be a power supply gap of approximately 77GW. This trend is expected to create a huge equipment market. Morgan Stanley predicts that by 2029, the potential market size of distributed power supply equipment in the United States will reach approximately 120GW, corresponding to an equipment market opportunity of approximately US$240 billion, of which approximately 77GW will come from the power supply gap that has yet to be filled in data centers, and approximately 40GW will come from new demand in the industrial and commercial fields.
