[Domestic first brain-computer rehabilitation technology, hemiplegic patient successfully played "Little Star"] October 13th, October 12th, Union Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology announced a first-of-its-kind clinical result in China: the team successfully developed the first domestic brain-computer interface fine movement reconstruction system based on high-channel matrix electrical stimulation. Relying on this innovative technology, a patient with hemiplegia of the right limb due to brain glioma, after nearly two months of standardized rehabilitation training, successfully realized finger flexion and extension, fine key pressing and other movements, and was able to play simple music such as "Little Star" in a coherent manner. This system innovatively integrates non-invasive brain-computer interface and functional electrical stimulation technology to build a closed-loop neural rehabilitation pathway of "idea decoding - precise electrical stimulation - muscle contraction - action execution - sensory feedback", and expands brain-computer interface rehabilitation training to single-finger and multi-finger collaborative fine finger movement training, bringing new hope for patients with motor dysfunction related to neurological diseases to rebuild fine motor functions.
