[Focus on Artificial Intelligence Ethics "Research Report on Ethical Governance of Embodied Intelligence" released] On October 13th, the National Artificial Intelligence Standardization Group released the "Research Report on Ethical Governance of Embodied Intelligence" today (October 13). The report focuses on embodied intelligent ethical governance, systematically summarizes it, and proposes governance plans from the aspects of full life cycle governance, technical protection, and standard guidance. It is understood that embodied intelligence ethics is a branch of artificial intelligence ethics. The report sorted out six types of ethical risks, including damage to human autonomy, social relations and development rights, personal injury and public safety, privacy infringement and abuse of personal information, prejudice, discrimination and service exclusion, identity misrecognition and overestimation of abilities, unclear responsibility and difficulty in resuming events, etc. It divided five risk levels from R1 to R5 according to the severity of the damage consequences. Based on the risk categories, it proposed six basic governance principles: people-oriented, safe and controllable, privacy protection, fairness and inclusiveness, transparency and explanation, and traceable responsibility. Zhang Shizong, deputy director of the Information Technology Research Center of the China Electronics Technology Standardization Institute: Integrate ethical requirements into project design, R&D integration, deployment and activation, operation services and decommissioning, and clarify the protection requirements and subject responsibilities of each link. In terms of technical protection, physical safety is ensured through movement restraint, sensory data is protected through collection control, and independent choices are guaranteed through identity prompts and exit functions. Zhang Shizong said that a standard system will be developed around basic commonality, governance technology, governance management and scenario application. China will accelerate the development of national standards such as the "Guidelines for Ethical Governance of Artificial Intelligence Embodied Intelligence" and systematically carry out standard research on risk classification and grading, protection function requirements, verification test methods and responsibility traceability mechanisms, and promote the integration of ethical governance requirements into the entire life cycle of embodied intelligent product project design, R&D integration, deployment and operation.
