[Chinese scientific research team finds new method for atomic-scale spin detection] On October 13, a scientific research team from the University of Science and Technology of China made topological materials into the tip of a scanning tunneling microscope, developed a new method for atomic-scale spin detection, and obtained direct experimental evidence of the existence of a two-dimensional d-wave interleaved magnetic order on the surface of potassium vanadium and selenium oxygen. This tip is expected to become an "atomic-level magnifying glass" for observing electron spins in the future. This research was completed by the team of Professors Chen Xianhui and Professor Wang Zhenyu from the School of Physics at the University of Science and Technology of China, together with Professor Xiang Bin from the School of Chemistry and Materials Science, Professor Liu Junwei from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and other collaborators. The relevant results were published in the international academic journal "Nature" on the evening of the 13th.
