[Iranian officials: Inspections of all attacked nuclear facilities must be approved by the Iranian Parliament] On August 27, Chairman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Eslami stated that any inspection by the International Atomic Energy Agency of any nuclear facility subject to military attack must obtain legal approval from the Iranian Parliament and formulate corresponding charters. He said that all Iranian nuclear facilities that have been subject to military attacks have previously been registered with the International Atomic Energy Agency and inspected. The agency's failure to condemn the attacks has called into question its competence and independence. The United States and Israel are pressuring the agency to visit damaged Iranian nuclear facilities in order to assess the results of the US-Israeli military strike. Iran will not accept the agency's request to inspect the facilities pending the introduction of security regulations mandated by Iran's parliamentary law. (CCTV News)
