[It is reported that Samsung Display and LG Display are developing new processes for OLED panels for Apple products] "Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily" reported on the 4th that Apple display suppliers Samsung Display and LG Display are developing new OLED panel manufacturing processes. Sources revealed that Apple is currently prioritizing the use of existing sputtering processes to produce display panels based on high mobility oxide (HMO) technology. To this end, Samsung Display and LG Display are developing new atomic layer deposition (ALD) and sputtering process solutions respectively to apply related technologies to actual production lines. This manufacturing process upgrade is expected to bring improvements in many aspects. One of the important changes is to increase the luminous brightness of a single pixel of the OLED panel, thereby improving the overall brightness performance of the screen and is also expected to improve the display contrast. If the relevant technology is successfully mass-produced, the screen display effects of iPhone and iPad may be further improved in the future. (TheElec)
