[LG Energy Solutions signs a multi-year U.S.-produced lithium carbonate supply agreement with Smackover Lithium] On August 31, LG Energy Solutions announced that it has signed a binding multi-year offtake agreement with Smackover Lithium to purchase battery-grade lithium carbonate. Under the agreement, Smackover Lithium will supply 8,000 metric tons of battery-grade lithium carbonate annually to LG Energy Solutions over the next 10 years. Smackover Lithium is a joint venture between Standard Lithium Ltd. and international energy company Equinor.
