[NVIDIA and KYEC signed a prepayment agreement to reserve the latter’s new US factory testing capacity] According to the Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily on the 14th, packaging and testing factory KYEC announced on the 13th that it had signed a customer advance payment agreement with NVIDIA. According to the agreement, NVIDIA will pay the money in advance, and KYEC and its wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary will build production capacity in the United States, retain testing resources and provide services for NVIDIA. The advance payment will be gradually deducted by providing testing services in the future. The contract period will start from the signing date until the advance payment is fully deducted. The plan for the new U.S. plant involved in the agreement was approved by KYEC's board of directors in July, with an investment amount of up to US$1.4 billion. It is initially planned to be put into small-scale operation in 2028.
