[Flexible robots will continue to jump when excited by infrared light] On September 1, a research team from North Carolina State University in the United States developed a teardrop-shaped ring-shaped flexible robot. As long as it is exposed to infrared light, it will jump upward or forward, and it will keep jumping until the light goes out. This latest achievement reveals a new mechanism for self-returning jumping in flexible robots. The relevant paper was published in the new issue of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
