[Morgan Stanley: The U.S. stock market correction is coming to an end, prepare to deploy risky assets] On October 19, a Morgan Stanley strategist wrote that the U.S. stock market correction is coming to an end, and investors should prepare to increase allocations to risky assets. It is recommended to focus on high-quality companies with improved profit expectations. The team, led by Michael Wilson, said the market sell-off is nearing its end and investors should take advantage of opportunities to buy stocks. They believe that there is still room for the S&P 500 to fall quickly or gradually in November, but they view this decline as a buying opportunity rather than the beginning of a new deep bear market. Strategists focus on companies with high-quality attributes, rising earnings estimates and an overweight rating from Morgan Stanley. Targets include Google parent company Alphabet, Apple, Broadcom, Micron, Visa, Mastercard, Costco, Trane Technologies and Vertiv. They predict that AI investment by leading cloud vendors and emerging cloud service providers will continue to grow, reaching US$1.6 trillion in 2027 and increasing to US$1.8 trillion in 2028; AI capital expenditures next year will directly contribute a quarter of the revenue growth of S&P 500 constituent stocks.
