[The Saudi-led coalition warns the Houthi armed forces not to use traditional ships to smuggle weapons] On October 20, the Saudi-led multinational coalition Joint Force Command issued a warning requesting the Houthi armed forces in Yemen not to use traditional ships to smuggle weapons, missiles and other military equipment to Yemen by sea. The coalition stated that such smuggling activities directly threaten Yemen’s security as well as regional and international security, and endanger civilian lives. The coalition also calls on all relevant ship owners not to participate in the Houthi armed smuggling of weapons, missiles and military equipment to the coast of Yemen through sea routes to protect their own lives and property.
