The meeting reviewed and approved the "2026 APEC Finance Ministers Joint Statement" and the "Asia-Pacific Digital Infrastructure Financing Policy Statement", pointing out the direction for Asia-Pacific economies to deepen financial cooperation. The "2026 APEC Finance Ministers Joint Statement" reaffirmed that precise and effective fiscal policies to support people's livelihood development - especially promoting household consumption when needed, as well as full life cycle human capital investment - will support domestic demand in the short term and improve productivity, innovation and sustained growth in the long term. Member economies are encouraged to design and implement targeted and precise fiscal measures based on their own circumstances and fiscal space to strengthen the connection between public expenditure and substantial improvements in people's livelihood and well-being, thereby promoting a virtuous cycle between consumption, production and employment.
