[China launches the development of an independent laboratory standard system to reduce duplication of development and construction costs] On October 24, the China Institute of Standardization recently released the "Independent Laboratory Standard System Forward-looking Framework and Implementation Route Report (2026)", which for the first time proposed the forward-looking framework and phased implementation route for the independent laboratory standard system. The China National Institute of Standardization is joining forces with relevant universities, scientific research institutions and enterprises to promote the research and development of Chinese standards around laboratory terminology, equipment interfaces, experimental data, etc., so that different equipment and software have a common "language" and "rules" to connect and work together more conveniently, experimental data is easier to share and trace, and redundant development and construction costs are reduced. This will provide support for improving scientific research efficiency, promoting cooperation between different laboratories, and promoting independent laboratories to move from demonstration exploration to wider application.
