[Agency: October land auctions are "autumn" and the average premium rate in 300 cities fell to the low of the year] On October 31, the latest data from the China Index Research Institute showed that from January to October 2026, the total land acquired by 100 real estate companies was 646.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 17.5%, and the decline was 3 percentage points narrower than that from January to September. China Index said that although the amount of land acquired by some companies in the first ten months increased year-on-year, it was a cumulative advantage. Judging from the land acquisition in the single month of October, among the 10 key land acquisition companies, China Resources Land and Binjiang Group have relatively strong land acquisition investment momentum. C&D Real Estate and China Jinmao have also increased their land acquisition intensity. The remaining six real estate companies have slowed down their land acquisition intensity. The premium rate in the local auction market is also decreasing. In October, the average premium rate in 300 cities across the country fell to 1.4%, the lowest during the year. During the period, no land was launched in the three first-tier cities of Beijing, Shenzhen and Shanghai. Although the third-tier and fourth-tier cities continued to sell land, most of them were obtained by local state-owned assets at low prices. (China Business News)
